Is It Safe?
Dr. Pedram Shojai is speaking with Amy Ziff, founder of MadeSafe, an organization created out of desperation after giving birth to twins with severe allergies and reactions to everyday products. Amy was forced to respond quickly with her strong, motherly instincts.
MadeSafe was created as a result of needing to solve her twins health challenges. Something had to be done when even taking a breath, or touching the elevator button could cause her babies a severe reaction. Consequently, there is finally an organization that researches listed ingredients, and more importantly, the hidden or disguised ingredients, components, and materials. The hidden toxins found in products that have not already scientifically been investigated and proven 100% safe and non-toxic for humans and or our environmental ecosystems. It is imperative to recognize the fact there is no other regulatory agency that thoroughly tests and certifies that the thousands and thousands of chemicals used by companies are 100% safe. Amy discovered that just because a product is made for babies, for example,“safe” for babies. How would the average person know that a crib mattress covered with vinyl would put out toxic gases? Similarly a new car with vinyl seats off-gases toxic fumes?
Tested, Tried, And Approved
Many companies seek to bear the MadeSafe seal of safety and approval. Very extensive testing and research standards are in place and strictly adhered to. If there is a single questionable item the entire product is thrown out. Only those goods that pass the rigorous standards of MadeSafe get to carry the MadeSafe seal of approval.
Amy’s husband jokingly told her that she could quickly empty a room when mentioning a friend’s favorite product that hadn’t meet the rigorous standards of MadeSafe. So many of the products we come into contact with on a daily basis have no color, taste or odor, yet they are very detrimental to the human endocrine system, the external environment and our water supply. Many of these chemicals are bioaccumulative in humans and the environment. Products such as Prozac, and other prescription drugs, C8 from teflon, sodium laureth sulfate from personal care products and soaps, BPA, and BHT. and fragranced products. Check out the extensive list of known culprits at the Madesafe website.
What you see is often not exactly what you get. Fortunately, after removing the toxic substances our amazing bodies usually can quickly recover. MadeSafe was birthed about seven years ago and the twins are now thriving because of their mother’s diligence.
