Stress, anxiety, and depression are all symptoms of disconnection to our inner source of peace and tranquility. Here, Pedram discusses how it is through our loss of connection with nature that we have become fixated on abstract concepts and separated ourselves from our original connection with nature.
The stress of modern living often comes from getting caught up in ideas and concepts that have been created by humans for our advancement. The problem is that we spend so much time dealing in this realm that we lose connection with the source of all life which resides in nature. Hence the anxiety and depression we see in our stressful world today. Many cases of teenage depression can also point back to this as the stress of growing up in today’s world coupled with too many hours of computer, facebook, games, and texting has created an artificial environment for these children to dwell in. No wonder they have depression!
To resolve stress, anxiety, and depression, we need to connect back with nature and boil life back down to what is real and important. The practices of Qi Gong, yoga, Tai Chi, and meditation are very helpful but a lifestyle which revolves around quality time in nature is medicine of choice! Do them together and you’ll see your life transform within weeks. Enjoy.
