The human brain is the most pliable and amenable to suggestion at an early age. The suggestions we receive before the age of seven get deeply embedded in our psyche and, we have come to understand that subconscious programs run over 80% of our daily functions. They become the foundation of who we are, how we see the world, and what type of genetic expression we manifest well into our adult lives. They become our beliefs and our underlying programming which determine our reality.
The one thing that has become so appalling to me as I have been watching several loved ones raise their children is the degree of influence and control the media and large corporations have on our lives. The formula is simple. We are taught to treat our children like little “brats”- they get what they want and run the show. When I was a kid, I’d bring home good grades because it was my obligation. My parents had it right. Nowadays, my friends and clients reward their children for good behavior. If you get an “A” on your test, I’ll buy you the toy that you want.
This is a wrong approach for several reasons. There are large corporations out there that spend millions of dollars annually studying the colors, shapes, smells, textures, tones, and imagery that best influence a child’s mind. They study this stuff diligently and know all of your children’s buttons. They know the way in and are very good at planting memes (mental viruses) in their subconscious minds. They embed programs that propagate like viruses through the media and our children come running home to us begging for this and that. I NEED this toy or game and I DESERVE it because I didn’t act like and idiot sociopath today.
Kids are the best way to the parent’s pocket book because they leverage our love and our desire for them to perform well in life. We have been duped because we let the inmates run the asylum and guess what? The puppeteers are calling the shots.
Another important reason to not allow the TV to raise our children is that they embed false images of reality into their consciousness. Ridiculous dramas and idiotic cartoon characters are not reality. The more time we spend fixated on abstract human constructs, the more we deviate from our natural connection with the Source. Kids need time in nature. They need to experience animals, climb trees, see the change in seasons, cross rivers, and learn bird calls. These things are real. If we neglect reality (which is grounded in nature), and fixate on abstract creations of some unknown person who works for corporate interests, we are lost.
Now look at what we do with our kids. They become the drone slaves of the machine and they demand that we buy them the things they “need” lest they become delinquent vagabonds and fall into criminal behavior. The whole game is backwards and we lose if we participate unknowingly.
